Tashkent, September 18 - Neftegaz.RU. A delegation of Beicip Franlab and ONGC Videsh visited Uzbekistan on September 12-15 at the invitation of Uzbekneftegaz, which discussed further steps to develop bilateral cooperation.
In the course of the meetings with Beicip Franlab, the sides discussed in detail the opportunities for cooperation in geological exploration, development of deposits, the prospects for Uzbekneftegaz to enter foreign markets and organize training sessions for Uzbekneftegaz specialists.Based on the results of the meetings, a joint working group was set up to consider in more detail the future cooperation and the preparation of proposals.
The ONGC Videsh delegation included Head of ONGC Videsh Pahi Ajit Kumar, General manager and Head of the geology department Joseph Thattacherry Bobby and geophysicist Amit Kumar. During the meeting, 1st Deputy Chairman of Uzbekneftegaz Ulugbek Sayidov noted that the company attaches great importance to this meeting as an opportunity to establish business relations with ONGC Videsh.
In his turn Pahi Ajit Kumar thanked the management of Uzbekneftegaz for the organization of the meeting and expressed hope for fruitful cooperation with the Uzbek side. The members of the delegation of India positively assessed large-scale reforms being implemented in Uzbekistan under Shavkat Mirziyoyev, especially those aimed at developing business and supporting foreign investors.
The Indian side expressed interest in participating in investment projects aimed at geological exploration in Uzbekistan. Pahi Ajit Kumar noted the willingness of the Indian side to study investment projects implemented by Uzbekneftegaz. After the negotiations, the delegation of ONGC Videsh visited the Institute of Geology and Exploration of Oil and Gas Fields .
