Belarus, Russia's Tatarstan to present gas engine for tractors by year end

Minsk, October 3 - Neftegaz.RU. By the end of the year Belarus and Tatarstan will present a jointly developed gas engine for tractors, BelTA learned from Belarusian First Deputy Industry Minister Gennady Svidersky at a session of the working group on Belarus-Tatarstan cooperation.

According to the source, the 6-cylinder gas engine has been developed by Tatarstan and Minsk Motor Plant. It will allow selling more tractors powered by natural gas to the markets where this kind of fuel is more cost-effective.

Since Tatarstan is eager to use more natural gas as fuel, Belarus is ready to offer harvesters, passenger vehicles, and municipal vehicles powered by natural gas.
Gennady Svidersky specified Belarus is ready to work with Tatarstan to jointly sell products to other regions of the Russia and to 3rd countries.

Svidersky is convinced these manufacturing cooperation ties in mechanical engineering industry and in shipments of ready-made products will allow enterprises in Tatarstan and Belarus to work more effectively.

Apart from that, the trading house of the Belarusian tractor maker MTZ in Tatarstan is supposed to use a new format. It is a very well-developed infrastructure platform, which allows handling manufacturing operations and logistics.

“We intend to use the trading house for all the Belarusian mechanical engineering products and more than that,” Gennady Svidersky said.
