Several people have been arrested in Northumberland following last week's Greenpeace occupation of an oil rig off Aberdeen.
Police from Grampian, assisted by officers from the Northumbria force, boarded the campaign vessel Greenpeace in the port of Blyth on Tuesday morning.
A spokesman for Northumbria Police said the action followed allegations of criminal damage in the Grampian area, and several people are now helping with inquiries.
A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal in Aberdeen.
Six Greenpeace protesters boarded the Santa Fe 135 rig, 75 miles out into the North Sea, last Friday, as part of a continuing campaign against oil development.
