Authorities are today hoping to shed some light onto what caused an explosion at the Moomba gasfields in the far north of South Australia yesterday.
Four people were injured in the explosion and fire and one person remains in a serious condition in hospital.
The State Department of Industrial Affairs says investigators will talk to Santos and emergency services in an attempt to find out what happened.
Santos general manager of finance, Graeme Bethune, says the accident has not affected gas supplies, and the company is investigating.
"There was an explosion, and fire occurred in the liquids pumping station at the Moomba gas plant in the far north of South Australia... four employees have been injured, one seriously," he said.
