Vietnam's shipbuilding and marine transport firms signed 15 contracts worth US $ 430 million with partners at the country's second International exhibition on Shipbuilding, Marine Technology and Transportation held in Hanoi.
The Vietnam Shipbuilding Industry Corporation (Vinashin) signed a contract with British firm Graig to provide 8 cargo ships from 2007.
Vinashin also signed a code-sharing contract on building a drilling rig with National Oilwell from the US and a contract to supply 13 cargo ships and container ships for transport companies under Vietnam Navigation Corporation in 2004.
