Vietnam Charges Ahead

The oil and gas industry of Vietnam is estimated to exploit 1.68 million tons of crude oil valued at $ 221 million in March this year, up 14.4% and 25.5%, respectively, over the same month of last year, according to the latest government figures.

The industry is expecting to produce 5.14 million tons of crude $ 589 million in the first quarter of 2004, up 17.1% and 20.8%, respectively, on-year.
