Yesterday Brunei LNG Company celebrated its tenth anniversary with South Korean gas firm KOGAS Corporation.
The celebration demonstrated strong relationships between the two Asian companies which continued to strengthen since the delivery of the first LNG cargo to KOGAS in 1994.
Brunei LNG CEO and Minister of Industry and Primary Resources Pehin Hj Abd Rahman, was the guest of honour, and Oh Kang Hyun, President and CEO of Korea Gas Corporation, led the KOGAS delegation.
A new Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on LNG pricing was signed, covering a five-year period from April 2003 through to March 2008. The guest of honour witnessed the signing.
BLNG announced it will continue to invest in upgrading the liquefaction and production facilities, which reflects its commitment to continue the supply availability and reliability up to and beyond 2013.
Oh Kang Hyun said in his speech he hoped both countries' relationship based on mutual understanding will continue to grow in the future and that Brunei and Korea will strengthen the bilateral economic cooperation both in energy sector and in other spheres.
