Shell Buy Oil From Russia

Shell?s oil refiner Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp. recently bought 600,000 barrels of crude oil from Russia, intensifying the country's efforts to diversify crude oil sources.

Department of Energy Secretary Vincent S. Perez said Shell acquired about 600,000 barrels of crude oil from Sakhalin, Russia, which was delivered this month to its refinery in Tabangao, south of Manila

The Philippines usually imports oil from the Middle East, but the DOE said crude oil from the Russian far east is delivered in a shorter time.
