Russian-China petrochemical development plans for the city of Daqing is still suspended, a Chinese official said.
It was planned to construct a Skovorodino-Daging pipeline, and China's biggest oil-producing city abandoned the petrochemical industry plans in favor of an opportunity of increased Russian imports, according to an official at the China International Chemical Consulting Corporation (CICCC).
According to the official, Russia?s president Putin said that the branch pipeline to the Russian border city of Skovorodino would be completed within three years, but the official believes that the long-awaited pipeline will face more challenges in the near future., including possible interference by Japan and the U.S.
