India, Pakistan and Iran failed to reach an agreement on gas price for the three-nation gas pipeline project after a meeting which ended here Friday, Indo-Asian News Service reported.
Although the three countries had failed to reach an accord on price, they were still keen on implementation of the project, said Iranian Deputy Oil Minister for International Affairs Mohammad-Hadi Nejad-Hosseinian.
A nine-member committee, aiming to fix the gas price, started a meeting on Thursday.
The three countries had decided to appoint an international consultant on the price of gas.
India's Petroleum Secretary M.S. Srinivasan said India and Pakistan had together suggested two consultants and Iran would now choose between the two.
