Merrill Lynch is likely to expand its business in China as the country's econimic growth is very dynamic, the company's CEO told Xinhua agency Tuesday.
John Thain said that he was excited about the opportunities they could develop there, working with financial institutions, the government and regulators, to "really bring many of our products, structures, and hopefully the good governance."
"We have a very strong wealth management business, strong investment bank business, sales and trading business. We think all of those businesses present opportunity for us in China," said the CEO, who knows well how to seize the opportunity in emerging markets.
