China Oil Companies A-shares Surged On High Oil Prices

China A-shares finished the morning mixed amid further consolidation after recent gains, dealers said.

Airlines and oil refiners surged in Shanghai on optimism their costs will ease after crude oil prices resumed their retreat.

China Petroleum & Chemical Corp (Sinopec) (SHA 600028; HK 0386; NYSE SNP) rose 2.36 pct to 11.27 yuan.

Light, sweet crude tumbled 3.09 usd a barrel to settle at 127.95 usd on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Crude oil is now down nearly 20 usd from its recent record of 147.27.
