Hevel has put into operation the 1st solar power plant in Buryatia

The 1st regional solar power station – Bichurskaya SPP – with the capacity of 10 MW has been put into operation in the Bichursky District of the Republic of Buryatia on November 13, 2017.

The launching order has been given in a spacebridge format in terms of plenary session of the Baikal Regional Infrastructure Forum BRIF-2017.

The investor and EPC contractor of the SPP construction are the Hevel group entities (Renova Group and RUSNANO).

The construction and installation work on site were started in May 2017 and were finished in compliance with the job schedule in autumn 2017.

The equipment affected in SPP’s construction, is to 70% produced by Russian enterprises of electrical engineering and metal-processing industry.

Running the SPP will allow for increasing the reliability of power supply in the region and reducing the grid power losses.

The estimated power generation output of the Bichurskaya SPP will exceed 14,5 W*h per annum, which will ensure reduction of CO2 emission by 7 685 tons annually.

Besides, in terms of BRIF-2017 the agreement on photovoltaics regional development has been also signed between the Hevel Group and the Government of Buryatia.

The agreement implies building of on-grid solar power plants with the aggregate capacity to 150 MW and off-grid hybrid power facilities with the aggregate capacity to 2,5 MW.
