Ozark pipeline at normal rates, Basin up: Equilon

Equilon resumed normal operations on its Ozark pipeline Monday, a company official said Tuesday. The 260,000 b/d line runs from Cushing, Oklahoma, to Wood River, Illinois. It then connects to the Wood Pat Pipeline, which runs to Patoka, Illinois. The Ozark line ships mainly crude oil. The Ozark line had been running at "substantially reduced rates" following a refinery outage at the end of April. Due to a cut in production, resulting from the fire, the plant was not able to accept normal crude deliveries. On Apr 28, a fire shut down Tosco's Wood River, Illinois, refinery. It is not clear when the refinery will restart. Meanwhile, Equilon is running its Basin Pipeline at "substantially reduced rates," the official said. He declined to reveal current operating rates. The 290,000 b/d line was slowly restarted late last week, but it is not clear when it will hit full rates, he added. Equilon shut down deliveries from Wichita Falls, Texas, into Cushing, Oklahoma, early May 8 because connecting crude storage facilities were full.
