Planned works on connection of a newly-built section of Kaltasy – Yazykovo – Salavat oil trunk pipeline (total length of the section is more than 5.7 km) have been conducted at Tuimazy Oil Pipeline Directorate of Transneft Urals.
As it was announced by Transneft on June 22, 2016, the works were conducted as part of implementation of the technical upgrading and revamping programme for the facilities of Transneft Urals. Replacement of sections with backing rings is performed during the revamping of Kaltasy – Yazykovo – Salavat oil trunk pipeline.
In total sections of Kaltasy – Yazykovo – Salavat oil trunk pipeline (with backing rings) with total length of more than 30 kilometres are planned to be replaced in 2016. Finishing replacement of the oil pipeline sections constructed using backing rings technology is planned for 2019. It will allow conducting oil pipeline in-line inspection in full, increasing reliability and safety of its operation.
