The situation in the Russian fuel market is complicated: the gas stations are raising prices across the country. Nothing seems to help avoid it: neither the criticism of oil companies for instability of additional fuel supplies to the market, nor the repeated use of various tools by the regulator to fix the prices. How can the government and the oil companies «resolve» this situation? When the consensus will be reached?

By 2020, significant changes are expected in diesel fuel consumption, mainly due to the tightening of sulfur content restrictions in marine fuel in accordance with MARPOL. What changes will this bring to the markets of fuel oil and vacuum gasoil? Will the demand migrate from automobile diesel to marine diesel and to low-sulfur fuel oil? How and by applying which additives will the oil companies achieve lower sulfur content?

Balancing the market remains the main issue for the fuel additives segment.
