The growth of extraction proceeds

The oil extraction in Russia during the period from January to September of the current year has increased in comparison with the similar period of 2001 by 8,7 % (which adds up to 19,6 million tons). In the period from January to August the growth was 8,3 %. According to the forecasts, in the 4th quarter the growth will proceed. Undoubtedly, the growth of extraction should increase export since it?s technically difficult to process the surpluses of petroleum on a home market: capacity of processing, as a rule, doesn?t exceed 45 million tons. However, bad weather conditions and faults in loading in ports of the Black and Baltic seas are the obstacles to the growth of export. During the period from January to July in comparison with the similar period of the last year the size of export of crude oil has increased by 4,6 %, in 8 months of this year the growth of export has made 3,2%, during January - September - 3,4 %. There is a possibility, that surplus of raw materials will be exported by rail, instead of oil pipelines.
