KazTransGaz, through its subsidiaries, engages in the production, transportation, distribution, and storage of gas in the Republic of Kazakhstan. It operates approximately 15 thousand kilometers of gas pipelines, 56 compressor stations with 316 installed gas-distributing units, and 3 underground gas storage units. The company also provides consultancy services related to research and development for gas industry projects; and manages investment activities for development of gas fields. In addition, the company is involved in the construction of gas transmittal pipelines; exploration and production of natural gas and gas condensate; issuance of Eurobonds; repair and renewal, and modernization of gas pipelines; provision of technical services on gas pipelines; and organization, operation, construction, and maintenance of gas filing compressor stations. The company was founded in 2000 and is a subsidiary of joint Stock National Company KazMunayGas.
