Petrocas Energy Limited engages in the transportation, trading, and retail distribution of oil products and petrochemicals in the Caspian Region, Central Asia, and South Caucasus.
It also engages in the international transportation of refined oil products from the Caspian Region to the Black Sea ports for westward export markets; and provides transportation solutions to Georgia, the Caspian Basin, and NATO bases in Afghanistan through Azerbaijan, Caspian Sea, and Turkmenistan.
In addition, the company offers storage, throughput, and logistical facilities for a range of cargoes; and provides terminals equipped with rail receiving platforms and ship transfer services for oil, light fuels, and petrochemicals.
Further, it operates a chain of petrol and CNG stations, as well as convenience stores in Georgia.
The company was established in 2009 and has representative offices in Cyprus, Greece, Georgia and Russia.
Petrocas is owned by David Yakobashvili, the company created a logistics and retail joint venture with Rosneft at the end of 2014.
In 2017 Petrocas will be helping the Russian oil giant trade oil products in Turkey and southern Europe.
Since it struck the joint venture deal with Rosneft, Petrocas has also increased its oil products trading volumes. Petrocas sold around 1 million tons of oil products in 2014, compared to 3.5 million tons it sold 2016.
