Volga Gas is an independent oil and gas exploration and production company. It has 2 principal Russian operating subsidiaries, both 100% owned : Pre-Caspian Gas Company (PGK) and Gasnefteservice (GNS). Through its subsidiaries the company acquires, explores for, develops, and produces gas, condensate, and oil fields in the Saratov and Volga Regions of European Russia. It holds 100% interests in the Karpenskiy license covering an area of 4,180 km2 located in the Saratov Region; Vostochny Makarovskoye (VM) license that covers an area of 17.8 km2 in the Volgograd region; Dobrinskoye license located near to its VM license; and Urozhainoye-2 license totaling an area of 354 km2 located to the north of its Karpenskiy license area. As of December 31, 2015, the company had proven and probable reserves of 39.8 million barrels of oil equivalent comprising 14.4 million barrels of oil and condensate; and 154 billion cubic feet of natural gas.
